Scoscese creste calcaree coperte da nuvole atlantiche, chiare acque che sgorgano da grotte e scorrono tra gole e precipizi, la delicata presenza di rare orchidee nella fitta foresta di 10 milioni di alberi che formano la più grande area verde dell'Austria, questa è la storia di un paesaggio di sfruttamento industriale ritornato alla wilderness. Questo è oggi il parco nazionale delle alpi calcaree settentrionali che una volta è stato il cuore minerario e metallurgico dell'Austria. Antiche miniere, ponti ferroviari, rovine di fornaci sono i testimoni di questo passato. In certi posti il terreno è così selvaggio che alcune foreste non sono mai state toccate. Da queste isole ora la natura riconquista il territorio che prima era stato invaso dagli uomini. Orsi bruni e linci sono ritornati e le cicogne nere trovano qui un rifugio.

Michael has been the Director of Photography as well as the Producer and Director
for many international award winning blue-chip natural history documentaries, as well
as producing AV and multi-screen shows for a variety of venues, including Museums
and National Parks Centres.
Michael is a qualified open water diver, and since 2006 holds a pilot’s license. In
2008 Michael was awarded Austrian Television’s ROMY award in the category of
best cinematography for ORF UNIVERSUM’s documentary “Ol’ Man River – The
Mighty Mississippi”.
Michael has developed a unique style, both with his cinematography and his
productions, a style which is now recognized as having the quality seal of a
ScienceVision production.
