LA MONTAGNA VIVENTE
Alone, in the wind. Nan Shepherd and her pilgrimages on the brink of the abyss. A “poetic performance” with Marco Albino Ferrari and Cristina Palomba
For the whole of her life the Scottish writer Nan Shepherd explored the harsh Cairngorm mountains in southern Scotland. Towards the end of the Second World War her reflections and notes came together in a book, which became a classic in Great Britain, leading “The Guardian” to describe it as «The most beautiful book about nature and the landscape that has ever been written».
