I TEMPI STANNO CAMBIANDO

The English writer James Graham Ballard, in his first science fiction novels of the 1950s, described the Earth ravaged by changes of climate and the psychology of modern man subjected to the violent alterations of the planet.
In the nineties, two floods of enormous proportions struck the village of Nasca, in the National Park of Gran Paradiso; nothing like it had ever been known before within living memory.
The cascade descending from the mountains behind the church and highest houses, which the local people had always considered attractive and romantic, assumed threatening and terrifying proportions.
Now, ten or so years later, the climate really seems to have changed and also threatens to alter people’s life and outlook. How are the inhabitants of Orco Valley reacting to the repeated floods? Should they resist the change or give in to it?
