This is the story of a dream come true: to climb El Capitan and revive all the sensations of adventure experienced by historical names in American climbing and the whole world.
The dream of a young man who during the climb seeks not only the athletic gesture, but also friendship, the sense of transgression and his own fulfilment, dividing his emotions with other companions and friends moved by the same search for freedom. The scenes at Camp IV, those of the ascent, the bivouacs and other, are part of a unique experience that cannot be referred to merely as mountaineering, but coincides with a way of contemplating life. There is nothing emphatic in the story, indeed the narration is terse, but it successfully describes the life and gestures of the climb on a Big Wall.
