Gvozden Rosic, chief of a small orchestra in a small rural village in the heart of Serbia trains for the hugest brass competition in Europe. Used to launch the attacks in the wartime, the trumpet lost its military significance to become an emotional part of the life of Serbian people; it is played when children are born, when people move to their new house but it also escorts the deceased in his last trip.
Stefano Missino was born in Udine in 1972, he studied cinema at “Sorbonne” in Paris and he graduated at “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia” in Rome; since then has made various documentaries, amongst them “Quando l’Italia non era un paese povero” and “Scusi, dov’è il Nord Est?”. Since Autumn, 2000 he is the director of www.ildocumentario.it, an known internet web site about documentary film in Italy. He lives and works in Paris.
Alessandro Gori was born in Udine in 1970, he graduated in “Foreign Languages and Literatures” (Portuguese, Catalan, Castilian) at “Ca’ Foscari” University in Venice with with a thesis about “Popular Music and Society in Brazil during the Military Rule. Chico Buarque e Caetano Veloso”.
