"These images not only wish to tell a story like many others, but also try to convey great emotions that fulfil every moment of a life lived with passion; sometimes you can experience emotions that are then difficult to share with other people. Mountaineering and climbing should always be synonyms with peacefulness, enjoyment, free spirit, sharing passions, mutual respect and friendship. All this is what we have experienced and lived during this period in Patagonia. Beyond the wall there are all the other values of life, far more important. This is then a spontaneous film, disillusioned, truthful, and only showing the reality of a vertical adventure, particularly those parts where the television crews and the great producers cannot usually reach". Elio Orland

One of Trento’s most famous new-generation mountaineers, Elio Orlandi also loves art and film. During his numerous achievements in Patagonia and around the world, he has been able to shoot many climbs, which he then turned into films in an attempt to convey his great love of the mountains. His works have featured at a range of international film festivals and have won several awards. He has taken part in the TrentoFilmfestival on a number of occasions; he sat on the International Jury in 2008.
