In a Turkish village threatened by the construction of a dam, an unemployed widower wants to celebrate his son’s 9th birthday. The boy dreams of flying like Spiderman. On that same day he is informed that the long planned dam they have feared will finally be constructed which will result in his village disappearing forever underwater.
Eileen Hofer was born in Zurich in 1976. She graduated in History of cinema and Literature. After her 4-year experience in the field of film festivals, she began work as a journalist and chief editor with several French Swiss newspapers. She made her debut with the short-length film Racines.
