{"id":1424,"date":"2014-04-21T14:32:54","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T12:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"\/?page_id=1424"},"modified":"2025-07-10T18:42:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-10T16:42:49","slug":"regulations-montagnalibri","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/trentofestival.it\/en\/2026-submissions\/regulations-montagnalibri\/","title":{"rendered":"Books Regulations"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>40<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Mountain Publications Exhibition<br \/>\nTrento (Italy), 24 April &#8211; 3 May 2026<\/h2>\n<h2>Rules for participation<\/h2>\n<p>Since 1987, MontagnaLibri has represented an annual international publishing showcase where it is possible to find all the most recent books dedicated to the mountains, exploration, adventure, care for the environment, and the cultures of the world\u2019s highlands in general.<\/p>\n<p>Guidebooks, handbooks, treatises, photography books, climbing histories, reports and diaries, literary works and children\u2019s books, biographies and autobiographies published all over the planet. This is the evocative journey through \u201cmountains of paper\u201d presented to visitors coming to the MontagnaLibri fair at the different venues in Trento, Bolzano, Bard and Brig (CH).<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the MontagnaLibri festival is free of charge and publishers are invited to send in books and magazines.<\/p>\n<p>Publishers who wish to participate must complete the registration form at the website <a href=\"https:\/\/trentofestival.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.trentofestival.it<\/a>. Completion of the registration form implies acceptance of these rules.<\/p>\n<p>Publications accepted for the exhibition and the associated online catalogue should deal with the various aspects of the mountains, exploration and adventure, providing in-depth information and promoting an understanding of geographical areas, peoples and cultures.<br \/>\nChildren\u2019s books are also accepted for inclusion in the MontagniLandia section.<br \/>\nSpecifically, the following categories of publications are accepted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>guides: tourist, hiking, mountaineering, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, speleological etc.;<\/li>\n<li>studies and essays: flora, fauna, geography, politics, geology, environment, archaeology, history, war, art, architecture, crafts, philosophy, religion, ethnography, folklore, gastronomy etc.;<\/li>\n<li>photography books;<\/li>\n<li>literary works: novels and poetry set in the mountains;<\/li>\n<li>travel and expedition reports;<\/li>\n<li>books on climbing history;<\/li>\n<li>biographies and autobiographies of climbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Publishers must send in two copies of each item proposed.<\/p>\n<p>Books must have been published in 2025 or the early months of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>One copy of all 2025 issues must be sent in for magazines.<\/p>\n<p>Reprints of books already included in the festival in the past will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Publishers participating for the first time can also present editions published in previous years, so long as these are not prior to 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Publications are sent at the participant&#8217;s expense. When sending publications from countries outside the European Union, it is recommended that documents for customs clearance be attached (pro forma invoice), stating on the package: &#8220;No commercial value, for cultural purposes only&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There are two deadlines for the delivery of publications to the address below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>31 January 2026 for works published in 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>31 March 2026 for works published between January and March 2026<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MONTAGNALIBRI \u2013 Trento Film Festival<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>c\/o Centro Santa Chiara<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Via S.
