Guidebooks, manuals, studies, treatises, photography books, climbing stories, reports, diaries, literary works, children&#8217;s books, biographies and autobiographies: an evocative journey through &#8216;mountains of paper&#8217;, presented to visitors at the local fairs in Trento, Bolzano, Bard and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<h3>Participation<\/h3>\n<p>Participation at MontagnaLibri is <strong>free of charge<\/strong>, publishers simply need to send in their books and magazines.<br \/>\nPublishers wishing to participate must complete the registration form at the website: <a href=\"https:\/\/trentofestival.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trentofestival.it<\/a><br \/>\nCompletion of the registration form implies acceptance of these regulations.<\/p>\n<h4>Eligible publications<\/h4>\n<p>Publications accepted for the fair and online catalogue must concern the mountains, exploration and adventure in their various forms, providing in-depth information and promoting knowledge of geographical areas, peoples and cultures. Books for children and teenagers are also accepted.<br \/>\nSpecifically, the following may be submitted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>guidebooks:<\/strong> tourist, hiking, mountaineering, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, speleological etc.;<\/li>\n<li><strong>studies and essays:<\/strong> flora, fauna, geography, politics, geology, the environment, archaeology, history, war, art, architecture, crafts, philosophy, religion, ethnography, folklore, gastronomy etc.;<\/li>\n<li><strong>photography books;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>literary works:<\/strong> novels and poetry set in the mountains;<\/li>\n<li><strong>reports<\/strong> on journeys and expeditions;<\/li>\n<li><strong>books on climbing history;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>biographies and autobiographies<\/strong> of climbers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to submit books and magazines<\/h3>\n<p>Publishers must send in <strong>two copies of each article<\/strong> proposed. In the case of magazines, <strong>two copies of all 2026 issues<\/strong> must be submitted.<\/p>\n<h4>Deadlines for submission:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Works published in 2026: by 31 January 2027<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Works published between January and\u00a0 March 2027: by 31 March 2027<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The books presented must have been published <strong>in 2026 or the first three months of 2027<\/strong>. Reprints of books already presented at the fair in the past will not be accepted. Publishers participating for the first time can also present editions issued in previous years, so long as these were not published prior to <strong>2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The participating publisher is responsible for delivery costs. When sending publications from countries outside the European Union, it is recommended to attach the documents necessary for customs clearance (pro forma invoice), stating on the package: &#8220;No commercial value, for cultural purposes only&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delivery address:<\/strong><br \/>\nMONTAGNALIBRI \u2013 Trento Film Festival c\/o Centro Santa Chiara<br \/>\nVia S. Croce, 67 &#8211; 38122 Trento (Italy)<\/p>\n<h3>Safekeeping of publications<\/h3>\n<p>At the end of the year, one copy of all publications participating at MontagnaLibri 2027 will be kept at the <strong>Mountain Library<\/strong> of <strong>SAT<\/strong> (Societ\u00e0 Alpinisti Tridentini), which has the task of storing them and making them available for consultation. The second copy will be held at either the <strong>AVS Library<\/strong> (editions in German) or the <strong>Bolzano<\/strong> branch of <strong>CAI Library<\/strong> (editions in other languages).<\/p>\n<h4>GDPR<\/h4>\n<p>The personal data provided and related communications will be handled as stated in the fact sheet on the handling of personal data, according to EU regulation 2016\/679 (GDPR).
