ARGENTINE WINES: BEYOND ANY IMAGINABLE ALTITUDE
Tasting workshop for Argentine wines produced at extremely high altitude. The workshop will be led by sommelier Marina Schmohl.
From the Andes to the country’s most remote valleys, Argentina has some of the highest vineyards in the world, located at between 1,700 and 3,100 metres above sea level. This extreme altitude, together with major fluctuations in temperature, helps to enhance the aromatic intensity, freshness and structure of the wines, giving them a unique and distinctive character. During the workshop we will explore the extraordinary qualities of Argentine mountain wines, discovering their sensory characteristics and the peculiarities linked to different terroirs at high altitude.
