T4Future

T4Future (Trento Film Festival for the Future) is the section of Trento Film Festival dedicated to the younger generation.

Since 2004, alongside the general programme, the Festival has offered activities for schools and families at the Parco dei Mestieri (Mountain Trades Park), a recreational-educational itinerary traditionally set up in the luxuriant gardens of the Bishop’s Palace in Trento. Here the younger public were able to participate in creative workshops, sensory paths, literary presentations, performances, and obviously film screenings.

The experience gained over the years has led us to extend the range of this initiative, which has now become an independent section of the Festival entitled T4Future, dedicated to teachers, pupils, families and children, offering an extensive programme of screenings, workshops, events and activities designed to encourage image education and to promote issues linked to sustainable development, environmental protection and active citizenship education.

T4Future now also provides training activities directed at teachers throughout the whole school year, making available the FILM AND NATURE educational kit. This was created with the intention of promoting the use of film as an educational tool and of looking more closely at the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the UN in the 2030 Agenda, by viewing audiovisual works – short films, animated movies and documentaries – accompanied by targeted and tested educational activities.

Taking as its starting point Goal 15 of the 2030 Agenda – Life on Land – which aims to protect the earth’s ecosystems and safeguard biodiversity, the focus of the 2021 edition will be on the delicate relationship between humans and nature.

The content will be offered exclusively online in separate areas:
