In 2021, Seán Villanueva O'Driscoll amazed the climbing world by becoming the first person to solo traverse the stunning Fitz Roy range in Patagonia. It has been described as “undoubtedly the most impressive solo ascent ever made in the region, surpassing the imagination“ For this incredible feat, he was honoured with the Piolet d'Or, the most prestigious award in the climbing community. In this presentation Seán shares his stories, preparation and mindset on how he approached this extremely committing monstrous challenge.
