McCabe (Warren Beatty) and former British prostitute Mrs Miller (Julie Christie) manage a brothel in an expanding town, but following their refusal to sell to mining company agents they are forced to take on three bounty hunters hired to solve the problem. A signature Western by Robert Altman, to whom we pay tribute on the 100th anniversary of his birth. It was filmed in the mountains of Canada’s British Columbia (although the story is set in the American state of Washington).
