PIROPOLIS immerses us in the inflammable city-port of Valparaíso through the “Pompe France”, a precarious fire company. The Captain and his henchman welcome Baptista, a French firefighter who arrives to instruct on the major fires caused by monocultures that surround and threaten the city each year. While a social crisis explodes, the company must deal with the fire of protests and the summer fire season. A documentary that witnesses the unequal fight against fire in a broken society.
