From National Geographic and Plimsoll Productions comes the documentary THE DEVIL’S CLIMB, which will debut in Italy on May 2 on Disney+. Famous climbers Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell embark on a 4000+ km expedition to face one of the most arduous challenges of their career: climbing the infamous Devils Thumb. Devils Thumb is a menacing ice-covered granite tower in the heart of southeastern Alaska and is known as one of the most dangerous mountains in North America. For Alex Honnold, this climb is one of the greatest adventures of his life, a testament to his relentless desire to achieve the impossible. For his best friend, Tommy Caldwell, it's an opportunity for a heroic comeback after a career-threatening Achilles tendon injury. The two friends undertake an epic journey to Devils Thumb, traveling by bicycle, sailboat, and on foot across the American West, Canada, and Alaska. Audiences will witness the extraordinary courage and heart-stopping climbs as the two attempt to complete the first single-day traverse of all five peaks of the Devils Thumb massif, pushing their bodies and their bond to the absolute limit.
