To slow down the melting of glaciers, sheets of synthetic fabric have been installed to protect them in some popular tourist destinations. Claudio Orlandi's photographs document the melting of Alpine glaciers, focusing on the geotextile sheets used to delay the melting process, despite many doubts regarding their effectiveness.
