Documentary made during the Franco-Swiss expedition to the Andes in 1957. Peru is seen there through the habits and customs of the various populations, the evocative ruins of the Inca cities, the life of the people on the lakes: and the curious architecture of the city of Lima and Cuzco. Three women, who are part of the expedition, finally together with the men climb a mountain of the White Cordillera, the Pucaranra (6,147 m), cloaked in frightening glaciers.
