When the Romanian shepherds, who reside in the village of Rasinari, get married uses rites dated to the most remote antiquity. Some customs derive from the Dacians, and have kept their joyful meaning intact over the centuries. This folklore reflects the imagination, the artistic sense and the poetry of the shepherds: especially the folk dances and the complicated regional costumes.
