During their 1955 expedition to central Australia, Jacques and Betty Villeminot were able to live on their own for four months after a group of nomadic Pitjantjara aborigines temporarily settled near a water point.
During this stay they were able to observe and film the daily and ceremonial life of these men, some of whom had not yet encountered the white man.
