SCHWEIZERISCHE DHAULAGHIRI-HIMALAYA-EXPEDITION 1958

This is the report of the Swiss expedition, which, in the spring of 1958, after a long approach march made in India and Nepal, and after fortunate events, reached little more than 600 meters from the summit of Dhaulagiri (8200 meters), but could not continue because of bad weather and avalanches. Only two years later, that is, on May 31, 1960, Dhalagiri was won by another expedition, for it Swiss, supported by the services of an airplane and favored by better weather.
