It is the report of the women's expedition led by Claude Kogan in Nepal, to the conquest of Mount Cho Oyu ( 8200 meters ), until the day when Kogan herself, a glorious veteran of Himalayan endeavors, and the beautiful Claudine van der Straten and the valiant Sherpas Shhoang and Ang Norbu were swept away by an avalanche of immense proportions, caused by the late and unpredictable onset of the monsoon. Following the 'interminable 600 kilometers of the approach march, the documentary captures, with feminine sensitivity, aspects of Nepalese life, and highlights the problems the expedition had to solve, not least that of feminine decorum.
