This film is dedicated to Hermann Geiger, a symbol of human courage put to the service of others in danger or distress on the peaks of the Alps. To the man, his activities, from his obscure beginnings with the glider, to today's rapid and organized service with airplanes and helicopters. The film also demonstrates the many fields of use of the aircraft in the high mountains. In Sion, Geiger's homeland, a school was born of which Hermann is the animator and teacher.
