Feature Film. The Second World War reaches the high, rugged mountainous land of Prokletjia (Kosovo region); it is inhabited by proud, honest, and free men. The war, which they did not want, however, ignores their customs and ideals, and with the enemy occupation, it sows disorder and death. Old Vuk loses two sons fighting against the invaders; he himself executes the third and last son because young Dzhaid, rather than side with the freedom fighters of his homeland, accepts an appointment as police chief serving the invaders.
