In two separate parts, this film wants to demonstrate the continuities between the Old and the New World. The presence of common elements in navigation from Africa to South America induced Tor Heydahl, Swedish, to reconstruct the itinerary of the first oceanic navigators. In this way, also some analogies in architectural structures and religious cults, can be explained. Heyerdahl builded a boat made from payrus, but unfortunately it sank only few mile from the aimed shore.
