The Danakil is an area of Eastern Africa which hasn't been really studied yet. It's divided between Somalia and Eritrea, and it borders the Red Sea. Its waters once occupied the depression from which is born the Danakil Desert. The inhabitants, nomads and shepherds, were not really friendly. The documentary shows the studies of Wilfred Thesiger who dedicated his life to the knowldge of Danakil and its population.
