The film describes the wild beauty and the great variety of the vegetal life of the Retezat National Park. Rare flowers, some of which are unique (the Carpathian endemite, the Carpathian poppy, the dacid violet, the several species of saxifrages, Draba dorneri) decorate the mountaintops of Retezat and have been the subject of study for over four decades since the scientist Alexandru Borza laid the basis for the floreal research in Retezat.
