At 7,30 a.m. on 13th January 1915, an earthquake destroyed Marsica in Marche. The so-called "temporary reconstruction" of bungalows took place below the destroyed villages - and they are still there today and in time have become the historical nucleus of many inhabited centres in Marsica.
