Caulì, a hunter who lives in the barren land of Transylvania in Rumania, is persecuted by a nightmare that governs his life and that of his family. This obsession makes him neglet his duties towards his family until - after the tragic death of his wife - he manages to break the psychological and moral circle that has gripped him, by killing the bear who, unjustly, is the cause of his condition.
