In 1932 a group of Americans left to conquer a legendary peak in China said to be higher than Everest. The head of the expedition, Terris Moore, was the first to reach the top of Gongga Shan. 50 years later a Canadian expedition attempts to reach the top of this mountain, situated in an area of the Himalayas that was off-limits to westerners for 50 years, is still mysterious. Gongga Shan is an extremely difficult mountain of great spiritual beauty.
