Various trend in the evolution of mountaineering have come from some exploits on Mont Blanc. In the 80s. these are solitary winter "triptych" by Renato Casarotto, the record times by Bérhault and Boivin, the "first" in extreme skiing by Boivin from the Maudit shoulder and by Stefano Benedetti from the Maudit and from the upper Couloir of Frêney.
