For the beginning of 83 to the end of 84 Cousteau and the crew of the Calypso explored Rio basin of the Amazon in Brazil, an area larger than the whole of Europe. Cousteau said that this was his greatest and most difficult adventure in his life. This long documentary film is dedicated to his exploration and devided in three different parts.
