The film is a report about the fifth polar expedition of the Polish University in Slesia. The aim of the expedition was to explore, for the first time in the world, the cavaties in the Spitzberg glacier, an old archipelago in the Arctic sea goverend by Norway. The speleologists went down 92 metres, a depth that had never been reached before in a glacier.
