In 1907 the grotto "Atta" was discovered in the Federal Republic of Germany. Eighty years later five speleologists discover a network of corridors over five km long beyond the grotto which is open for visitors. This is the longest and most articulated grotto of stalactites in Germany and six camera men of the Westdeutsche Rundfunk made a reconnaissance of it with the speleologists between April and October 1985.
