This is a documentary with an anthropological background, filmed in Piedmont in the Canavese area. Three women and two men bring us near to the way of thinking and feeling of the valley people: the way of looking after the meadows and the image they wish to give themselves. Labourers have descended from these valleys around Ivrea to work at Olivetti but traditions remain and even today the transhumance provides the rhythm of life in the villages. Even those who work in the factory have never lost the sense of "blonging" to the mountains.
