A man on a horseback, Mauro Ferraris, goes around the mountains searching for the meaning of life and, in the end, he changes his courage to heart-broken solitude. He is not a solitary man out of necessity but by choice. This is so until, during a brief gathering of friends in the western Alps who have the same passion for horses, he meets Silla, agirl who changes his life little by little. The "Flight of the Hwak" has the same leading character as "The End of the War Path" in 1983.
