The film illustrates the truth about the survival of a small number of brown Marsican bears. This big peaceful animal suvives, almost by miracle, in the National Park of Abruzzo and on the borders of the central Alpennines. Following a review of the impending dangers and the efforts made to protect this plantigrade, a message is launched in favour of the future of the bear, an invisible hermit, a vagabond of the mountains just a stone's throw from Rome.
