The actor and violocellist, Maurice Baquet, attacks the south wall of Aiguille du Midi for the first time in 1956. He is accompanied by the alpinist and film-maker Gaston Rébuffat. In memory of his friend Gaston, Maurice climbs the wall again in 1988, that is 32 years after the first ascent. This time his partner is one of today's best alpinists Christophe Profit.
