In January 1985, Wanda Rutkiewicz scaled the south side of Aconcagua, the biggest mountain in South America with Stephane Shaffter. The documentary is full of footage from the film made durig the 1934 expedition of Viktor Ostrowski, filmed by Stefan Osiecki, called the "The Roof of America". A curiosity: in the old documentary the Polish alpiists on the summit raise an ice pick to the sky in sign of victory. On the handle is a small flag with the badges of a cuise of Italian Fascist University students. A meeting between tourists and alpinists in Argentina?
