The film covers the imprtant stages in the history of speed skiing competitions, better known as the launched kilometre. The first of these unusual events was held in St.Moritz in 1930, but the lace where the event developed more than anywhere else is Breuil-Cervinia in Vald'Aosta. On the slopes of Piccolo Cervinio at Piateau Rosa just after skies of this discipline competed against each other. Giuseppe Lamberti, the sports director of Cervinia in the sixties, tells us about his memories of the event.
