For some years a climbing course has been held in a school gymnasium in Wels in Austria.The film illustrates the method beginning with the lessons in the gym and then outdoors on the training walls. Particular attention is given to safety techniques and overcoming initial fears. Then fairy difficult climbs are made in the Austrian and Italian mountains until the best pupils demonstrate that they are confident climbers.
