Onorino Tognolli lives in Olle, a hamlet in the Commune of Borgo Valsugana in east Trentino. He is one of the last blacksmiths. He learned the trade from his father and the craft has been handed down by his family for generations. This video was made in collaboration with the Commune of Borgo Valsugana within a project to save Mr Tognolli's old water hammer workshop. It shows the work of the forge and the various stages of forging a woodsman's hatchet.
