In Bavaria, in the midst of the Allgäu Mountains, there is an area that looks like a karst desert with deep cracks, wells and caves called by the locals the «Field of God». The erosion of the rocks has produced gorges and caves that are explored by cavers who follow the underground channels of water and meanderings. The film follows them in this difficult exploration.
