Mount Sorak rises in a mountainous region full of peaks, crests, woods and waterfalls, situated in the central part of the mountain chain running from north to south along the eastern part of Korea. For centuries the region has been traversed by people looking for wild ginseng, a root supposed to have therapeutic qualities. The search is carried out with religious spirit, with respect for nature from which the men take the roots, being careful not to damage the reproduction of the plant. Recently this environment has been visited by mountaineers who enjoy the vertically of some walls.
