The documentary celebrates the seventieth anniversary of the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) by recalling its successes and the titles won in various sports. From the legendary athletes of the forties and fifties, Celina Seghi and Zeno Colò, to Gustave Thoeni and Alberto Tomba and the victories of the cross country skiers in the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics. The film, shot in Italy in winter 1991-92-93-94, has been completed with film belonging to the Istituto Luce and with scenes of the Lillehammer Olympics filmed by RAI.
