The journey, told by the film, follows the course of the Rhine, the oldest route leading from the North of Europe to Italy. The purpose is to discover in music, sounds and noise, song and dance, words and companionship, customs and festivities, towns and villages, the echoes of deep-rooted culture in part of Europe. We start in Basel, then in an Austrian village and we continua to Linz.
