Shimshal is the last important village of the enclave in North Pakistan, The horizontal mirage of the valley, symbol of access to a possible future modernization, is a big road being planned that will reach the village in six years’ time. Iqbal, a young man from Shimshal and a student at the University of Karachi personify the tradition of the past and the future. When he returns home, he gives us an insight into the daily life of the village during an important event: the three days when the cattle descend from the «Small Pamir».
