The film is dedicated to the life and fate of Stanislaw Latallo, filmmaker, the lead in Zanussi’s film Illumination, and cameraman of the first Polish expedition to Lhotse (1974) in the Himalayas where he died aged 29. His son Marcin, having reached the same age, attempts to record the memory of his father, by interviewing those who knew him and to discover the original and anti-conformist nature of the man he really was.
