In the summer of 1989 the Molveno mountaineer and alpine guide, Franco Nicolini, achieved a great number of climbs in the Brenta Mountains. The «Vie Dolomieu» was made by this alpinist in homage to the French geologist to celebrate the bicentenary of the discovery of the Dolomites. Nine years later, in January 1996, Franco repeated the feat by climbing the same peaks one after the other.
