The Alps are the backbone of the European continent. However, not many people know that many Alpine peaks consist of the fossil remains of marine animals that lived in the remote epochs, thousands of metres below sea level. The documentary uses computer graphics to simulate tectonic movements and restores fossil plants to life in three-dimensional images: a Journey in the deserts and coasts of a great continent called Pangea which existed 300 million years ago.
