Tomaz Humar is already well known in mountaineering circles for his numerous ascents in the Slovene mountains, the Dolomites and Central Alps. His achievements in the Himalayas place him side by side with the world's top mountaineers. It took the Slovene fifteen days of extreme mountaineering to climb in solo Reticent Wall on El Capitan, one of the most difficult and dangerous technical routes in the world. Many strong climbers have to compare their ability with others on this great wall. The wall offers very little room for pitons and those Humar hammered in held poorly causing him quite a few problems, also because of the weight he had to support. Always using two ropes he carried all the equipment he needed with him to avoid turning back and to be able to complete the climb successfully. The scenes of the ascent and description of the difficulties are quite remarkable.
