The documentary is a kind of personal diay of the various phases of the last eruption of Etna in the summer of 2001, not only from a porely eruptive point of view, but also with regard to the great scientific interest and preoccupation of the local population, which attracted volcanologists and media from all over the world to the eruption site. An interesting documentary on this very special ‘mountain’ and on the not always easy relationship between Etna and the people who live on its slopes. The situation is aways precarious, but man, despite the obvious repeated and unequivocal signals launched by the volcano, ofter stubbornly refuses to give it due consideration.
